How to cancel an order
If you no longer need a VPS or a dedicated server, you can cancel the order in the client area. This guide explains how to do it, what happens to the server and its data, and when you can get a refund.
After cancellation, the server and its data become unavailable. When the restoration period ends, the data may be permanently deleted. Save everything you need before you cancel the order.
Before you cancel
- Copy the data you need from the server, or make a backup to Cloud Storage or to your own computer.
- If the server has additional services, such as extra IP addresses or a Backup Service, they are canceled together with the order.
- If a domain or a DNS record points to the server IP address, change it in advance. After cancellation, the IP address returns to the pool and can be given to another client.
Canceling an order step by step
- Log in to the client area and open the Orders section.
- Find the order you want to cancel.
- Click the menu icon in the Action column and select Cancel order.
- In the Cancellation of the order window, choose when to cancel the order:
- Cancel now: the order is canceled immediately.
- Cancel at the end of the term: the server keeps working until the paid period ends, and then the order is canceled.
- If you want, enter the reason for cancellation.
- Select the Cancel order <order name> checkbox. The button below becomes active only after that.
- Click Create an order cancellation ticket.

Your cancellation request is sent to support as a ticket. When the cancellation takes effect, the order gets the Canceled status, and the connection details are removed from the order.
An unpaid order has no Cancel order item in the menu. Instead, the menu shows Delete order.
If you canceled an order by mistake, contact support as soon as possible. The service can be restored within 7-14 days after cancellation, depending on the data center.
Refunds
- The billing period is one calendar month. The current paid period is not refunded.
- Full unused periods paid at the regular monthly rate are refunded. For example, if you paid two monthly invoices in advance and cancel the order in the first month, the second month is refunded.
- Prepayments with a discount (for 3, 6, 12 or 24 months) are not refunded.
- Software licenses are not refunded after activation.
- By default, the refund goes to your account balance. To get the money back to a card or a wallet, contact support.
For details, see the Refund Policy Understanding manual.
Canceling instead of not renewing
If you do not renew an order, the renewal invoice is created 5 days before the paid period ends. If the payment is more than 5 days overdue, the order is canceled automatically. To stop the service in a controlled way and keep your data safe, cancel the order yourself at the end of the period.
For details about order statuses, see the Order statuses manual.
