Password management
Your client area password protects access to your services, invoices and account settings. This guide explains how to change the password, restore it if you forgot it, and what to do if you cannot restore access yourself.
This guide covers the password for the INTROSERV client area. To change the password of a server's operating system, see the Password change manual.
Changing your password
- Log in to the client area and open Settings.
- Go to the Security tab.
- In the Change password block, enter the new password in the New password field and repeat it in the Confirm new password field.
- Click Save.

Your browser may fill in the fields on the Security tab automatically. Before you click Save, check the New password and Code word fields to make sure they contain the values you intended to save.
For tips on choosing a strong password, see Account Security Best Practices.
Restoring a forgotten password
- Open the client area login page and click Forgot password?.
- Enter the email address of your account and click Send.
- Open the password recovery email from [email protected] and click the password recovery link in it.
- Follow the instructions on the page that opens and log in with the new password.

The email also shows your login, so it helps if you forgot the login as well.
If the email does not arrive within a few minutes, check the Spam folder for an email from [email protected]. Use the same address that is shown in the Email field on the General settings tab.
If you cannot restore access
If you no longer have access to the account email, or the email does not arrive, contact INTROSERV support without logging in:
- through the live chat on the INTROSERV website, the chat icon in the bottom-right corner, available 24/7;
- by email to [email protected].
For all contact options, see Ways to contact support.
Support may ask for your code word to verify your identity. You can set the code word in advance on the Security tab. Never share it with anyone who contacts you first, even if they claim to be INTROSERV support.
Keep your account secure
After you change or restore the password, it is worth checking the other protection settings:
- turn on two-factor authentication on the Security tab;
- limit access to trusted IP addresses, see Setting Up IP allowlist;
- review recent logins on the History tab, see Account activity log.
