IP-KVM Access Guide via OpenVPN (DC2, DC3 Servers)
On servers in the DC2 and DC3 data centers, the IP-KVM interface is accessible only through the data center network. To access IP-KVM, first connect to this network over VPN. This guide shows how to install OpenVPN on Windows, import the VPN configuration file from your client area and access IP-KVM.
Install OpenVPN
Download the Windows installer from the official OpenVPN website and run it. The default installation settings are suitable.

After installation, the OpenVPN GUI icon appears in the system tray, in the lower-right corner of the screen. If the icon is hidden, click the arrow next to the tray icons.
You do not need to run OpenVPN GUI as administrator.
Download the VPN configuration file
Log in to the client area, open the Orders section and, in the Action column of your server, select Order management to open the order details. On the Details tab, find the IP-KVM block. Next to the address in the Link field, click the question mark icon. In the window that opens, click Download next to File for connection. The file has the .ovpn extension.

The configuration file gives access to the network where the IP-KVM of your server is located. Do not share it or publish it.
Connect to the VPN
Right-click the OpenVPN GUI icon in the tray, select Import, then Import file, and choose the downloaded .ovpn file. OpenVPN shows a message that the file was imported.
To connect, right-click the OpenVPN GUI icon again and click Connect. If you have imported several configuration files, first point to the one you need and then click Connect.

When the connection is established, the icon turns green and a message about the connection appears in the lower-right corner of the screen.
Next time you do not need to import the file again. Right-click the OpenVPN GUI icon and click Connect.
Connect to IP-KVM
While the VPN connection is active, open a browser and enter the IP-KVM address of your server. The IP-KVM address is shown in the Link field of the IP-KVM block in your server's order details. Log in with the login and password from the same block. To see the password, click the eye icon next to it, or copy it with the copy icon.

IP-KVM uses a self-signed certificate, so the browser may show a security warning. Confirm that you want to continue to the site.
If the console of your IP-KVM starts through Java, see Installing Java to work with IP-KVM (jnlp files).
If the connection fails
If OpenVPN cannot connect, check whether your firewall or antivirus software is blocking OpenVPN. To see the reason for the error, right-click the OpenVPN GUI icon and click View log.
If the IP-KVM page does not open, check that the VPN connection is active and that you entered the address from the Link field of the IP-KVM block for this server.
Disconnect from the VPN
When you finish working with IP-KVM, right-click the OpenVPN GUI icon and click Disconnect.
