Overview
Each dedicated server comes with IPv4 addresses; IPv6 availability depends on the data center (see below). If you need more IPv4 addresses, for example for several websites, virtual machines or separate services, you can order up to 256 additional IPv4 addresses.
If you have several servers, the additional addresses can be distributed between them: specify in the ticket which server each address is for.
Ordering with a new server
When you order a new server, you can add IP addresses right in the configurator, in the Network section. The addresses are assigned together with the server.
Ordering for an existing server
Additional IP addresses for a server you already have are ordered through a support ticket.
- In the client area, go to Tickets and click Add ticket.
- Select your server in the Orders field.
- In the message, specify how many additional IPv4 addresses you need.
- Wait for the invoice and pay it.
- After the payment, the addresses are usually assigned within 30 to 60 minutes.
Availability by data center
In DC3, additional IP addresses are available for all servers. In DC1, DC2 and DC4, support checks the possibility for each server individually, so make sure your server is selected in the ticket.
IPv6 subnet
For servers in DC1, the IPv6 subnet is shown in the client area. In other data centers, an IPv6 subnet is issued on request: create a support ticket and specify your server.
Where to find the new addresses
Open Order Details > Network tab. Each additional address appears as a separate row with its netmask and gateway. The main IP address of the server is shown in bold.
On the same tab, you can set reverse DNS for each address.
After the addresses are assigned, add them to the network settings of the server's operating system. Until then, the server does not respond on the new addresses.
Your own IP addresses (BYOIP)
You can also use your own IP addresses with INTROSERV servers. To connect them, create a support ticket.
