Adding addons to the order

Overview

Addons are optional features and services you can add to a VPS or Dedicated Server order. They extend what your server can do, from managing it through a graphical interface to adding storage, extra IP addresses, or having our engineers handle setup for you. This guide describes each type of addon and when you would use it.

Control Panels

A control panel lets you manage your server through a graphical web interface instead of the command line. Available panels include cPanel, Plesk, and ISPmanager. Choose one if you prefer to administer websites, databases, mail, and other services visually rather than through the console. Paid panels require a separate license, and its cost is added to your order.

Additional IP Addresses

Every server comes with one IPv4 address included. If you need more, you can purchase additional IPv4 addresses, for example a second or third one. Extra addresses are useful for hosting several SSL sites, running separate services on their own addresses, or other setups where a single IP is not enough.

Backup Service

The Backup Service provides space on separate storage for your server data, together with automated backups on a schedule you choose, such as daily or weekly. Use it to keep recoverable copies of your data independently of the server itself.

Cloud Storage (CloudBox)

CloudBox adds separate cloud storage for keeping and sharing files. It supports access over several protocols (HTTPS, FTP, SFTP, SMB, NFS, WebDAV), which makes it convenient for file exchange, data transfer, and storing copies outside the server.

Server Administration

With the administration service, our engineers set up and configure your software for you (managed support). Choose it if you would rather have the provider handle installation and configuration instead of doing it yourself.

Operating System Licenses

Some operating systems require a paid license, unlike most Linux distributions, which are free. For example, Windows Server has a license fee that is added to your order. Select the OS license that matches the system you plan to run.
