OS Reinstallation
Introduction
This guide explains how to reinstall the operating system on your dedicated server through the INTROSERV Client Area.
OS reinstallation will permanently erase all data on the server. Back up all important data before proceeding.
How to Reinstall the OS
Step 1. Log in to the INTROSERV Client Area.
Step 2. Navigate to Orders in the left sidebar.
Step 3. Click the menu icon (☰) in the Action column next to your server and select Manage order.
Step 4. Open the Details tab.
Step 5. In the Control section, locate the OS dropdown and select the operating system you want to install.
Step 6. Click the REINSTALL button.
Step 7. Confirm your action when prompted. The reinstallation process will begin immediately.
For servers on DC4 plans, OS reinstallation is not available through the Client Area. To reinstall the OS, submit a support ticket. The process is handled promptly. In your request, please specify: the operating system you want to install (please select from the operating systems available for your plan), partitioning or RAID requirements (if any), and confirmation that you accept data loss during the reinstallation process.
After Reinstallation
Once the reinstallation is complete, you will receive a notification. The new login credentials will be updated automatically in the corresponding fields in the Client Area. Update your password inside the operating system after logging in for the first time.
